Requesting that the Governor designate the third week of September
of each year as POW/MIA Recognition Week and the third Friday

as having demonstrated the highest degree of dedication and
devotion to their country; and

POWs, that witnessed the deaths of their brothers and sisters in
arms during captivity; and

missing in action and of whom it can be said "THEIR WHEREABOUTS ARE KNOWN ONLY TO GOD;" and
Whereas, West Virginians still grieve for our friends and
family members listed on the rolls of "MISSING IN ACTION," from the
War Between the States to Desert Storm; and
Whereas, The West Virginia Veterans Coalition, on behalf of all
West Virginia's veterans, has formally urged the Governor of West
